Outside, the Sanctuary opens into a private outdoor living experience designed for long afternoons and unhurried evenings. Lounge beside the firepit under the stars, soak in the outdoor hot tub surrounded by nature, or enjoy slow food on the patio with beautiful local produce prepared in the kitchen or on the barbecue. 

Whether you spend your stay wrapped in a blanket by the fire, bathing outdoors beneath the trees or sharing wine as dusk settles over the hinterland, the Sanctuary is designed to feel immersive, soulful and quietly unforgettable.

The Cottage is the heart of Samsara Farm — a spacious three-bedroom retreat designed for gathering, slowing down and sharing time together. Filled with natural light and surrounded by lush gardens and rolling hinterland views, the Cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests, with generous living spaces that invite long conversations, shared meals and cosy evenings by the fire. Guests often tell us the photos don’t quite capture the feeling of being here: the peace, the birdsong, the sunsets, the sense of calm and the warmth of a home that has been thoughtfully prepared for families and friends to truly relax together.

Beyond the beauty of the farm itself — the gardens, pool, firepit, pets, wildlife and the babbling creek — the Cottage is perfectly placed as a base to experience the very best of the Byron hinterland. Spend your days exploring Federal, Bangalow, Brunswick Heads, waterfalls, beaches, galleries and local food spots before returning home to barbecue, swim or watch the black cockatoos drift across the valley at sunset. Whether it’s a family getaway, girls’ weekend, creative retreat or quiet escape with friends, the Cottage is designed to feel welcoming, grounding and deeply restorative.

Our beautiful Samsara is home to Phil & Jane, Benji the Pomeranian, Max the Cat, a couple of chooks, native bees, abundant birdlife, and the occasional wallaby, koala and echidna.
